ATS Helper is operated by GAB16 SOFTWARE SRL, with registered office in Bucuresti, Sectorul 1, Strada Pitar Mos, Nr. 27, Etaj 5, Ap. 17, registered under CUI 54691932 and Trade Register number J2026031838007. For the purposes described in this policy, GAB16 SOFTWARE SRL acts as the data controller.

At atshelper.com, we aim to provide a free, helpful, and transparent resume tool that puts you in control of your data.

What We Collect

By default, we do not collect or store any personal data, resumes, or usage analytics. You can use the editor entirely offline or download your resume as JSON, DOCX or PDF without creating an account.
When you send a request to generate a document, the data is not saved or copied on our servers, the PDF/JSON/DOCX is generated on the go and none of your data stays with us.

If you choose to create an account, you can optionally save your resume data on our infrastructure. This data may include your name, contact information, work experience, education, resume structure, account details, and any AI tailoring workflow data created when you use the resume tailoring features.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics RUM for visitors outside the EU and other European countries covered by Cloudflare's Europe exclusion setting. According to Cloudflare's current product documentation, this beacon does not use cookies, local storage, similar browser storage for measurement. We use this limited analytics data to track website engagement and improve website performance and user experience.

Your Data, Your Choice

If you manually opt to save resume data to your account, you can choose between two options:

  • Encrypted Storage, you encrypt your resume in your browser using a private key (passphrase) before saving it. We never receive or store this key. Your resume can only be decrypted on your device with the correct key. This also means that if you lose your key, we have no way of helping you retrieve your data.
  • Simple Storage, if you prefer the convenience of not needing to remember another password, you may store your data without protecting it on your end with a key. The data is still stored in a secured database, though this means we can technically view your data, but we will never sell or share it for unrelated purposes. It is still your data and we do not assume ownership of it.

We encourage encrypted storage for maximum privacy.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is only used to:

  • Prefill your resume when you return to the site
  • Allow you to make changes or download updated versions
  • Run AI resume tailoring when you explicitly ask for it
  • Measure engagement and page performance for visitors outside the EU and other European countries covered by Cloudflare's Europe exclusion setting using Cloudflare Web Analytics RUM
  • Process privacy requests such as access or deletion requests

We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it for advertising purposes, and we do not combine analytics data with external data sources in order to identify individual users.

Legal Basis and Source of Data

The personal data we store in ATS Helper is provided directly by you. For account-based resume storage and privacy request handling, we process your data to provide the service you asked us to provide. Where consent is relevant, such as when you agree to the Privacy Policy during account creation, we also rely on the consent you gave at that time.

For limited website measurement for visitors outside the EU and other European countries covered by Cloudflare's Europe exclusion setting, our legitimate interest is to understand product usage trends, maintain performance, and improve the service. We do not use that measurement to profile you or make decisions about you as an individual.

Recipients and Hosting

We do not sell your personal data and we do not disclose it to unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data may be stored or processed on infrastructure that we control or use to operate the service, including:

  • A hosted server environment located in Germany within the European Union
  • Our own on-premise infrastructure located in Romania within the European Union
  • Cloudflare, as a service provider used for website delivery, security, and limited analytics for visitors outside the EU and other European countries covered by Cloudflare's Europe exclusion setting

In practice, the categories of recipients are limited to ourselves as the service operator and the infrastructure or hosting providers needed to operate ATS Helper.

International Transfers

We aim to keep your stored personal data within the European Union. Our normal hosting and processing locations for stored data are within the EU, including Germany and Romania.

If you submit a request for a copy of your data and ask us to send that copy to you outside the EU, that transfer happens only because you requested it.

Because parts of our website delivery stack rely on Cloudflare, some technical website request data may be processed by Cloudflare in accordance with its role as our service provider. Our Cloudflare RUM analytics configuration is intended to process performance measurement data only for visitors outside the EU and other European countries covered by Cloudflare's Europe exclusion setting.

Retention Policy

Your data will generally be retained only as long as your account exists or as long as it is needed to provide the features you chose to use. You may delete your saved resumes or your account at any time. Encrypted resumes are stored as unreadable ciphertext, even to us.

Privacy request records may be kept for a limited period where needed to document that a request was received and processed. We do not include internal authentication secrets such as password hashes or security stamps in data export files.

Analytics data collected through Cloudflare RUM, where enabled, is retained according to Cloudflare's analytics retention settings and is used only in aggregated form to understand engagement and improve the website experience.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated information
  • Delete your saved data or account
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. We will always post updates here, and we will never make changes that reduce your rights or compromise your privacy without clear notice.

We will never sell your data. Period.
